Silver Spring, MD -- Organ donor recipients are saying thanks for the memories -- and the kidney.

The Discovery Health Channel will air a documentary Saturday (Jul. 19) called "Transplanting Memories" which delves into the eerie mystery of organ transplant recipients who experience memories of the organ donor.

For example, one eight-year-old girl received a heart transplant, and her nightmares helped solve the murder of the person from whom she received the heart.

In another case, Catherine Beckman received a heart from an 11-year-old boy, but ever since the surgery she claims she's been aware of a "dual energy."

She says she's always aware of another presence and never feels alone.

Physically though, Beckman notes she's noticed an increased desire for red meat. She says, "I've always enjoyed a hamburger, but this is getting out of control."
