Saddam Booted From German Park

Dresden, Germany -- It's unsure whether Saddam Hussein has evaded American attackers, but he's definitely gotten the boot from a park in Dresden, Germany.

An installation consisting of Wheaties cereal boxes featuring the Iraqi leader's mug has been yanked from its original spot in a Dresden public art show which opens today (Mar. 21).

The boxes are the work of Los Angeles artist Robert Reynolds, who has also posted Osama bin Laden on Wheaties boxes superimposed with the statement, "The Breakfast of Champions."

The controversy started when American owners of a local construction company heard about the art and threatened to fire 250 of the firm's German employees if it went up, as planned, in a nearby park.

Reynolds says art show officials tried to reason with the offended bosses, but they wouldn't budge. Luckily, they found their own solution: Placing the Hussein display in another park far away from the construction company.
