San Francisco, CA -- An upcoming charity auction in San Francisco is featuring the top designer digs for dogs and cats.

The so-called "Petchitecture" event features 12 pet habitats that are expected to sell for anywhere from $800 to $2000 a pop.

One of the high concept hidey-holes is called "Pet Me In The Morning." It's a leopard-print dog bed modeled on a 1970s platform waterbed -- minus the water.

Others include...

-- "Disco Bowl": a fish bowl with spinning mirror ball.

-- "Leg of Love": A mannequin leg which owners can pull out when needed to curb dogs' embarrassing leg humping.

-- The "Vrr Prr" is a cat bed imbedded in a DVD player so the pussycat can enjoy the ambient heat.

-- And the "Birch Perch" is an acrylic dome bird house which fits over the limb of a tree.

Auction proceeds go to Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS,) a charity which helps people with AIDS and other disabling illnesses take care of their pets.
