One Hit Wonders Play 10K Race Route

Hollywood, CA -- You may think hearing 1980s hits like A Flock of Seagulls' "I Ran" during a running race might slow you down from an overload of stinky melodies, but Nike begs to differ.

Nike is putting on a 5K/10K run featuring various one hit wonder bands along the course -- playing their one hits over and over and over again.

The Nike Run Hit Wonder 5K/10K, which takes place this Sunday (Feb. 16) in Hollywood, also features Animotion, Missing Persons, Gerardo, and former RATT singer Stephen Percy,

You might run away from that lineup, but event organizer Jason Cohn argues the moldy oldies will actually give folks more energy because he picked bands whose sounds were energetic -- like C+C Music Factory.

Sadly, if you're interested in running, it's too late. The event is sold out, and Cohn says it's probably the first time in years that any of these bands have sold out a show.
