Los Angeles, CA -- The eBay auction site isn't being very understanding to the Young family in Los Angeles which is trying to auction off its services for $5 million.

Screenwriter Steve Young is trying to sell his family on eBay to the highest bidder. Although he's already received a $5 million bid, he is running into problems with the website, which forbids the sale of humans and their parts.

Young claims that's ridiculous -- he's selling "complete family services" and feels he should be able to make money at something he's good at, being a parent.

He's having his attorney fight eBay in court to let the auction go through as planned.

But even if Young doesn't win his battle with eBay, Young should make out pretty good without having to sell his family. He says he's already received three legitimate offers for the movie rights to his story.
