Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- "Simple Life" star Nicole Richie knows what it likes to be hit with a "Brickhouse" -- it happens to her all the time.

That's the word from her daddy, Lionel Richie himself, who says Nicole is constantly shocked to hear his hit with the Commodores, "Brickhouse," everywhere they go.

He says she whines, "Why are they playing your song again?"

She better get used to hearing the song a lot, since he recorded a heavy metal remake with Rob Zombie earlier this year.

Still, Richie isn't just riding on remakes. His latest hit is an original, "To Love A Woman," which he co-wrote with Enrique Iglesias.

The song appears on his greatest hits CD, "Lionel Richie: The Definitive Collection."
