Milwaukee, WI (WFN) -- After 100 years, it's still Miller Time. Miller High Life, the "Champagne of Beer," turns 100 years old tomorrow (Dec. 30), but the brew maker doesn't want anyone to make a big deal about it, because that would go against their image. A spokeswoman for Miller says the beer has always been about "no fuss, no frills" since it was created. Keen-eyed beer drinkers may notice "Est'd 1855" appears on the label, but according to the company, that date pertains to the birthdate of the recipe that Frederick J. Miller bought and dubbed Miller High Life in 1903. Although the company isn't making a fuss about its centennial, high-ranking officials in Wisconsin, where the beer is made, are. The state's Congress and Governor Jim Doyle have given the beer commendations for being in business for 100 years.
