Indianapolis, IN (WFN) -- The original model of "Star Trek's" starship Enterprise is tucked away in the Smithsonian, but a man in Indianapolis is selling the next best thing: Four sheets of original decals for the ship. Craig O. Thompson used to work for Desilu Studios, where "Trek" was shot, and acquired the decals because of his relationship with the studio. He's kept them in a cardboard tube in his garage for more than 30 years and says he's selling them now because he's "not a dyed-in-the-wool Trekker" and would like to see them go to someone who really appreciates them. The four sheets of paper include the labels "U.S.S. Enterprise" and the starship registration number "NCC-1701," and were kept on reserve to repair the Enterprise model when necessary. Thompson wasn't expecting to make a lot from the eBay sale, but bids for the decals have already reached $1500.
