|
Hagerstown, MD (WFN) -- A Maryland man wants to blaze a path as the world's greatest athlete and he's starting by attempting to break the record for the longest firewalk. 33-year-old Darren Griffith wants to break the old record of walking barefoot over 165 feet of hot coals reaching 1200 degree fahrenheit. Before Griffith sets a date for the firewalk, he wants to collect $1,000 for every foot he walks, making at least $166,000 to be donated to Make A Wish Foundation. He says he won't make any physical or mental preparation before his firewalk. All Griffith says is, "If my feet burn off, at least it's for charity." After he completes his sizzling sashay Griffith says he'll set his sights on breaking records in other sports like Indy Car Racing, boxing and running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.
