Orlando, FL (WFN) -- A new product could bring tears of joy to new parents: The world's first baby translator. It's called the "Why Cry," and designers claim the device is supposed to analyze the cries of a newborn and translate the tones into five different categories: hunger, annoyance, boredom, sleepiness or stress. Why Cry spokesman David Boothe says the device has been tested in several baby hospitals and is 95 percent effective in determining the cause of screams because "all babies cry the same, no matter what culture." However, he doesn't know if it works on older babies because, in his words, "we haven't determined the age limit yet." The Why Cry will be on the market next month and will sell for around $140. That may seem steep but Boothe figures it's a bargain -- especially for new parents who have no clue what their kid is trying to tell them.
