Heave Ho Silver! Make Way For Gray

Troy, MI (WFN) -- It may seem like a black and white world, but car owners are seeing shades of gray.

According to an automotive color popularity survey by DuPont, silver is still the most popular car color around the world, but medium-dark gray is the up-and-coming color in America, especially among luxury car owners.

Experts say the future looks great for gray but it still pales in comparison to white, which is the No. 2 most popular car shade followed by black.

Finally, cars could be looking greener -- and redder -- next year because medium-dark green and bright red are both gaining in popularity, despite being two of the least-popular shades on the list.
