Vienna, Austria -- A new study by an Austrian union group has concluded that Christmas music is psychologically torturing retail workers. The hours of constant carols may even make workers "aggressive and confrontational" according to the Austrian Trade Union Federation, which is asking shop owners to limit the amount of Christmas music played in stores.

HIGH WYCOMBE, England -- A Scrooge of a parking cop gave a hefty ticket to a British St. Nick whose car broke down outside a hospital where he was doing charity work. But it all turned out fine in the end for the jolly old elf: The local town council has erased the fine and apologized for the cop who ticketed Santa.

BERLIN -- University professors in Berlin are so fed up with budget cutbacks that they've decided to give it away for free. The professors began a 72-hour lecture-a-thon in Berlin's busiest square in hopes of setting a new record in addition to protesting by educating passersby. If successful, they'll break the old Guinness book's record of 51 hours and 44 minutes.

AVON, Colorado -- Ray Liotta hasn't won an Oscar but he's the proud owner of the video game version. Liotta's performance in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" has been chosen "Best Performance By A Human" at the inaugural Video Game Awards airing tonight (Dec. 4) on Spike TV.
