That's according to a new survey released by the American Animal Hospital Association which polled over 1200 pet owners for some fascinating facts about their furry friends.

Besides celebrating pet birthdays, 51 percent of pet owners say they sing "Happy Birthday" to their pets.

-- 67 percent of folks celebrate holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter with their critters.

-- 52 percent of respondents say they include news or a photo of their pet in their holiday cards.

Finally, owners remember their pets in death as well, because 20 percent say they've included their pets in their will.
