Burlington, Ontario -- Most people associate crock-pots with sweet little grannies, not hot sex. But a food writer in Ontario, Canada, is out to change that.

Rebecca Field Jager says there is no kitchen appliance that's sexier than the slow cooker because it keeps you from slaving over a hot stove and gives you plenty of time to pursue other activities -- like getting down in the bedroom.

To spread the gospel of crock-pot lovin', Jager has written "How to Make Love and Dinner at the Same Time" (Adams), which contains 200 recipes that are supposed to fan the flames of desire.

She says the time you'll save making your dinner in a slow cooker will free up hours for making love, with the added bonus of not worrying about your dinner burning if you're in the bedroom longer than you expected.

Jager says crock-pots really help to bring romance back into a relationship -- "a benefit no other appliance can offer."
