Waukesha, WI (WFN) -- Model train enthusiasts are railing against the way their hobby is being ignored -- with something called "Take A Model Train To Work Day."

The event takes place Nov. 14 and is designed to attract new members to the hobby.

Train buffs are encouraged to do this by either bringing a toy train to work or, if possible, setting up a whole track around the office.

Take A Model Train To Work Day's spokesman Terry Thompson says the event is in its third year and predicts there might be 500,000 participants if things get off on the right track.

Thompson admits it might be inconvenient to bring in the whole train set to the office, so, in a pinch, you can bring a picture of a train and show it around the water cooler instead.
