The vehicle was originally called the LaCrosse, before GM was informed of the naughty double meaning. The "Toronto Sun" reports GM still plans to release the car as LaCrosse in the United States, which doesn't have as large a French-speaking population as Canada.

Their reactions were probably the result of stress, according to the "Blick" newspaper.
