Austin, TX (WFN) -- Movie fans may soon see grouchy Tommy Lee Jones act a little bit cheerier -- as in, cheerleader. The Oscar-winning actor has just begun shooting "Cheer Up," an action comedy set in the cheerleading world. Jones will portray a crusty Texas Ranger who goes undercover as a cheerleading coach to protect a university cheer squad. The film will be released some time in 2004. NEW YORK -- Barbara Walters is putting her tear-inducing powers to the test next month by interviewing Martha Stewart. The style maven says this will be the only interview she gives before she goes to trial in January. ABC hasn't scheduled the date the interview will air. LOS ANGELES -- Steve Martin may soon put on the trench coat and cap of "Pink Panther" sleuth Inspector Clouseau. According to the "Hollywood Reporter," the silver-haired comedian is MGM's top choice to play the role immortalized by Peter Sellers in a remake of 1964's "The Pink Panther." HONG KONG -- The Rolling Stones are making up for their SARS-related cancellation of a concert in Hong Kong earlier this year -- by playing a SARS benefit show in the city. The gigs on Oct. 17 & 19 will mark the first time the Stones have played in Hong Kong, according to the BBC.
