Santa Rosa, CA (WFN) -- Conceptual artist Christo and his wife, Jeanne-Claude, are getting wrapped up in their work by wrapping a giant version of "Peanuts" character Snoopy's doghouse. Starting today (Oct. 9), the public will get to see the artists' work of a 10-foot-tall version of Snoopy's dog-house completely wrapped in tarpaulin and ropes. "Wrapped Snoopy House" is not one of Christo's larger works compared to his 24.5-mile-long "Running Fence" which stretched across California's Sonoma and Marin Counties or his wall made of 13,000 oil barrels in Oberhausen, Germany. But, according to organizers, Christo and cartoonist Charles Schulz were friends since the 1970s, and now the artist wanted to honor Schulz now that he's been gone almost two years. The dog house will be on display at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California, for at least six months, and may travel around the U.S. afterwards.
