Getting Organized Doesn't Mean You Have To Be A Neat Freak

New York, NY (WFN) -- A professional organizer in New York has some neat words for American slobs: It's possible to be both organized and messy.

Barbara Brock, president of the New York chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers, says one of the biggest perceptions people have about organization is that everything has to be neat and tidy.

Truth is, you can be as messy as you want -- as long as you know where everything is supposed to go. For instance, Brock recommends having a "clothes chair" designated for old clothes which you empty once a week.

Right now, Brock is organizing "Get Organized Week," which starts Oct. 5 and is meant to make people realize the benefits of reducing clutter and pack rat behavior before winter.
