San Diego, CA (WFN) -- An Indian casino in San Diego is turning back time by being the only casino in the world to offer cash baccarat games.

Barona Valley Ranch recently began offering the old style gaming table which was introduced in Las Vegas by high-rolling gambler and entertainer Frank Sinatra.

Years later, when chips were introduced, the practice of playing with cash fell by the wayside because it slowed down the game and was too difficult for casinos to audit, says Barona spokesman Lee Skelley.

That's why Skelley won't bet on whether baccarat will make a comeback with the rest of the world's casinos.

It's not an issue for Barona though, he says, because the casino bigwigs don't think players mind if the game goes a little slower.

And the proof is in the betting, because he says the new baccarat table is packed every night with people waiting to bet up to $10,000 per hand.
