New York, NY (WFN) -- A 21-gun salute is a high honor in the military but what about a 27-flush salute?

Believe it or not, 27 marines will engage in a synchronized toilet flushing this Thursday (Jul. 31) in New York City, to benefit Toys For Tots.

Charmin toilet paper is donating money to Toys For Tots every time their customized "Potty Palooza" truck is flushed.

Retired Major Bill Grein, the vice-president for Toys For Tots, says participating marines will be in their dress blues during the ceremony and promises they will "be flushing at attention."

Grien is ordering his "stout-flushing men" to maximize donations to Toys For Tots by "flushing for a million times if they can."

In addition, Grein is encouraging patriotic Americans to use the traveling "Potty Palooza" truck as often as possible, even if it means resorting to what he calls "stealth-flushing" -- flushing the handle without actually going to the bathroom.
