Nederlander, TX -- The truth really is out there -- and available in government files. That's what journalist Nick Redfern discovered while researching his new book, "Strange Secrets: Real Government Files On The Unknown" (Simon & Schuster). Using the Freedom of Information Act, he learned that government agencies worldwide have extensive research on everything from rabbit ESP to spontaneous human combustion. Some research topics seem more for tourism than terrorism, such as the CIA's extensive report on the supposed location of Noah's Ark. Others are more sinister: During the Vietnam war, the U.S. Army analyzed North Vietnamese sorcery in hopes of using it against the enemy. However, the spaciest report that Redfern found concerned the mythical Men In Black. Redfern was able to find the name of a real-life MIB, who is a member of the British Air Force.
