New York, NY (WFN) -- A self-described "Bitter Poet" in New York is changing the way people think about poetry -- one heart-broken, cynical loser at a time.

Kevin Draine -- who's stage name is "The Bitter Poet" -- performs his poems in rock clubs backed up by a fleet of exotic dancers and a band called "The Sound of Angst."

Mr. Bitter turned to poetry after a string of failed relationships and jobs left him, shall we say, bitter.

Now, he wants folks to submit their own bitter poems to him via his website, thebitterpoet.com. He'll read the winning poem at a June 6 at the Arlene Grocery in Manhattan.

So what's his own most bitter poem? A nice little joint titled "I Hate Sex" which includes lines like: "OK, time to have sex/Guess we need to take our clothes off/Am I lying down on the bed? OK/Are you turned on? I guess not/Oh, I guess I gotta fiddle with it for a while/Hope my forearm doesn't start to cramp too early."
