Atherton, CA (WFN) -- Love is sweeter the second time around for Carol Channing, who married her childhood sweetheart this weekend (May 10) in Northern California.

The actress/singer wed businessman Harry Kullijian in the home of Mervyn's department store owner Merv Morris -- who is responsible for reuniting the two sweethearts after they spent 70 years apart.

Morris also gave the 82-year-old bride away at the ceremony, in front of 30 family members.

It was a traditional wedding service, although Channing hesitated momentarily when the reverend asked her to "obey," her new husband.

In honor of the occasion, the sequin-loving "Hello Dolly!" star donned an off-white tailored suit with a mandarin collar.

A reception was held afterward in the home's formal garden with California cuisine and centerpieces of sunflowers, Channing's favorite flower.
