Denver, CO (WFN) -- Those big, wide Hummer vehicles have inspired a line of big, wide shoes.

This fall, EJ Footwear will debut a line of men's boots and shoes that have been designed "in the spirit of the vehicle," according to Hummer Footwear brand president Jordan Saliman.

He says, just like the cars, the shoes will be durable because they're made from yak skin leather that is supposedly three times tougher than regular cowhide.

In addition, the shoes' treads will be modeled after the tire treads on Hummer vehicles.

Perhaps taking the car analogy a little too far, Saliman adds each shoe will have a "torque suspension system" -- a polyurethane insole that cushions the foot from shock.

The shoes will range in price from $100 to a $300 "performance boot" which is supposed to withstand temperatures below 40 degrees.

Plans are also in the works for Hummer Footwear lines for women and kids.
