New York, NY (WFN) -- If you're a child of the 1980s, you remember Wacky WallWalkers -- those sticky, octopus-shaped blobs that would "crawl" down a wall after you threw them against it. Well, they're making a comeback as part of a kiddie peace plan to promote "toys not war." The man who introduced Wacky WallWalkers to America in 1982, Ken Hakuta, is tapping into his secret stash of the off-the-market gee-gaws and giving them to kids who send him their toy guns. Hakuta, aka "Dr. Fad," wants kids to trade in their phoney weapons and take a break from violent toys -- especially in light of the possible war with Iraq. He was inspired to start the anti-gun campaign after seeing Easter baskets filled with fake pistols in honor of the war. Hakuta says he'll take and destroy water guns, cap guns, rifles and even gun-filled videogames and you can mail them in to "Kids Declaration 1441" c/o Jericho Communications 304 Hudson St. 7th Floor, New York, NY 10013.
