Palm Desert, CA (WFN) -- Super Bowl XXXVII won't happen for another two weeks, but a grass company in Palm Desert, California, is already raking in the green. That's because West Coast Turf has just laid down 100,000 square feet of sod for the big game -- a special type known as "Bermuda Bullseye" -- that blends in well with the dry climate of host city San Diego. Luckily, grass expert Tom Stafford isn't green when it comes to sodding Super Bowls. His company has seeded four previous games and is confident the field will be ready by January 26. Although the grass is being seeded just weeks before the game, he doesn't think the players will raise a stink about how it smells. He says the Super Bowl grass is raised with a special type of fertilizer that is made without that pungent manure smell.
