Beverly Hills, CA (WFN) -- The Academy Awards are still two months away, but that golden guy, Oscar, is already in the spotlight in Beverly Hills. That's because the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is about to launch an exhibit consisting of 100 Oscar statuettes that have been handed out over the past 75 years. Most of the Oscars will be borrowed from the winners or their heirs, including the first Oscar won by Katherine Hepburn for 1933's "Morning Glory," John Wayne's 1969 Oscar for "True Grit" and Cuba Gooding, Jr.'s 1996's award for "Jerry Maguire." The "And The Oscar Went To..." exhibit will include all five Oscars won by the 1975 movie "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest," Walt Disney's set of seven miniature Oscars won for "Snow White And The Seven Dwarves" and a plaster Oscar that was handed out during the metal-rationing days of World War II. Folks will also be able to see the original prototype for the statuette when the "And The Oscar Went To..." display opens on January 24.
