Los Angeles, CA -- The secret to a successful sitcom just might be having really bad furniture arrangements on the set. According to celebrity "feng shui" expert David Cho, the settings of top-rated sitcoms like "Friends" and "Frasier" have horrible "feng shui." However, the bad "feng shui" works wonders for comedy, because they cause those personality conflicts that create funny moments. For instance, the lack of plants in Central Perk on "Friends" enhances Phoebe's ditziness, while the lack of metal objects makes Joey act really dumb. Meanwhile, Cho says Frasier's elevated master bedroom makes him behave even more snooty, while the elevator in front of his door is letting his wealth and relationships run right out. Cho says producers could easily fix the sitcoms' "feng shui" problems, but warns they could end up ruining their hit shows.
