|
Los Angeles, CA -- The differences between Australians and Americans are being accented regularly on the set of the CBS drama, "The Guardian." You see, series star Simon Baker is a native Aussie, although most people can't tell when he's in character. However, off camera, he can say saucy Aussie phrases like "G'day," and "fair dinkum" with the best of them. Cast member Dabney Coleman says Baker's accent ability has been the source of a friendly competition and, in his words, "I kid him that I'm getting the Aussie accent down." However, in private, Coleman admits that the accent is so tough, "I won't even try it." "The Guardian" airs Tuesday nights on CBS.
