London, England -- Def Leppard's drummer Rick Allen has been made the butt of many a "one-arm-drummer" joke, but the band's guitarist says the group doesn't get too riled up about it.

Phil Collin says the band has a good sense of humor about things like the Bloodhound Gang's "Why's Everybody Always Pickin' On Me," which contains the chanted lyric "The drummer from Def Leppard's only got one arm!," and the Rick Allen Halloween costume: one drumstick, mullet wig, left arm tucked into shirt.

Collin says Allen and the rest of the band have thick skin because they've learned that most of the people doing the insulting don't "think before they talk."

However, Collin admits if the jibing gets too heavy, he'll just "beat the s**t out of the guy that says it."

Def Leppard's new record, "X," comes out July 30.
