|
San Diego, CA -- The heir to a Scottish jelly company says he knows the truth about Loch Ness and he wants to tell the whole world. 45-year-old Dennis Dickson says Nessie is not a sea monster at all but a giant salmon that died years ago. Dickson's family used to live near Loch Ness, where they made marmalade for a living, and his father used to tell stories about how locals once tried to start up a caviar industry in the lake. Although the venture failed, it produced massive Alaskan salmon, which Dickson thinks probably died off years ago. In fact, he thinks that some supposed Nessie sightings are actually the rotting corpses of the super-sized salmon. Dickson isn't fishing for publicity. He claims he's coming out with "the truth" now because he wants his kids to know history, not myth.
