New York, NY -- Taco Bell is getting its frijoles in the fire for creating a fictitious magazine in one of its ads.

A commercial for the company's "New Steak Quesadilla" claims that "Steak Enthusiast" magazine calls the item "a tasty triumph in culinary engineering."

Problem is, there is no magazine called "Steak Enthusiast," and now "TV Guide" is claiming Taco Bell is pulling the same stunt that Sony Pictures did last year when it ran fake quotes from a make-believe movie critic.

In the upcoming issue of "TV Guide," Taco Bell executives say there was no deceit intended, they just wanted to create a spoof on car commercials that use reviews from magazines like "Car And Driver."
