New York, NY -- Want more proof men and women are from different planets? Look at the items they hide in their closets.

According to a new survey by Gruvo.com auctions, pornography is the No. 1 item men stash in the closet without their mate's knowledge, while the majority of women are hiding pictures of their ex-boyfriend or old love letters.

Other secrets coming out of the closet in the survey...

-- Men say the No. 1 item they want their mate to clean out of the closet is her old flannel pajamas, while women would rather their guys finally throw out their cruddy torn underwear.

-- The No. 1 clothing item women would never part with is their wedding or prom dress, while men refuse to throw out their old college t-shirts.

-- And, finally, although the majority of women have cleaned out their closet in the past two years, the majority of men haven't.
