|
Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Tony Danza is taking a swing at being a swing singer and although he's having a good time, he admits he finds the job daunting. Danza just released his debut CD, "The House I Live In," a collection of swing tunes he recorded live in the studio with a big band. Although he was thrilled with the result, he compares the feeling of recording with musicians who worked with his idol, Frank Sinatra, to "singing in front of a locomotive." However, the hardest part of recording was doing a duet with his 9-year-old daughter, Emily, on the Cab Calloway song, "Little Child (Daddy Dear)." Danza fretted over how his girl would react to the pressures of a recording studio but he needn't have worried because "...she was braver than me and just acted like any 9-year-old girl."
