Ocrocoke, NC (WFN) -- TV shows and movies have their share of bloopers, but so do wildlife photographers. At least that's the picture you get talking with filmmaker Kim Wolhuter, who has spent the last two years filming leopards in South Africa. Wolhuter says he's seen leopards do some funny things for a meal but admits for every hour of film footage he collects, about 20 hours are cut -- mostly because the animal walks out of the shot or the camera's out of focus. In addition, a lot of animals tend to get in a rut which means many scenes show the same thing over and over. Wolhuter says many wildlife scenes are considered too gory or too sexual for family TV. However, he believes not showing it is worse because that presents a distorted picture of nature as being populated with cuddly creatures. Wolhuter's latest film, "Stalking Leopards," debuts Sunday (Jun. 30) on MSNBC.
