Minneapolis, MN -- Members of a Minneapolis punk rock group called The Amish Armada say criticism from Christians has become their cross to bear.

The punkers dress up in Amish garb, put on fake beards, and perform as "vigilante Amish zombies, ousted from their society," who set up a holy war against technology.

Although the performance is just for laughs, the make-believe Mennonites say Christians are criticizing them for making fun of the Amish and corrupting children.

Band member Mike Franklin defends his group, saying it has never been about corrupting children and the group takes the Amish seriously, claiming they researched Amish life thoroughly.

Franklin claims his band members probably know more about the Amish than the Christians criticizing them.
