| 2002-03-25 - Weird News Wireless Flash News 'Knight Rider' Car Cloner Offers Services To David Hasselhoff | ||
|
Kissimmee, FL (WFN) -- David Hasselhoff has just landed a deal to make a big-screen version of "Knight Rider --" the 1980s TV show that featured Hasselhoff as a heartthrob who fought crime with the help of a talking Trans Am named KITT. Although "Knight Rider" went off the air in 1986, there's still a huge interest in KITT cars -- so much so that a man in Florida makes his living creating clones of the speaking sports car. Mark Scrivani has a four-month-long waiting list for his "replicars," which sell for $50,000 a pop. He says if Hasselhoff needs someone to create a KITT for the new film, he's ready to get his motor running on either a classic model or a modernized KITT. Scrivani has already contacted Hasselhoff offering his services, but, so far, hasn't heard back from the wavy-haired star.
