|
Santa Barbara, CA (WFN) -- Looks like "Monty Python" member John Cleese is getting the tribute treatment -- but he can't figure out why. On March 30, the BBC America cable channel is honoring the comedian with "Python" and "Fawlty Towers" marathons, along with various movies and specials featuring Cleese. Cleese is willing to take the event as an honor, but "feels strangely detached" because he rarely looks at his old work and says there are probably, "...hundreds of people in New York who know my dialogue better than I." He also says the programming includes "Time Bandits," "...which I'm in for three or four minutes." Cleese's latest project is playing a network executive in an ABC sitcom about the TV industry, "Wednesday, 9:30 (8:30 Central)," which debuts Wednesday, March 27 at 9:30 (8:30 Central).
