William Shatner Confesses To Thoughts Of Suicide

New York, NY (WFN) -- After William Shatner's third wife died in 1999, he thought suicide would be the final frontier for him too.

The original "Star Trek" captain tells "TV Guide" that he entertained thoughts of suicide after finding Nerine Shatner dead in the swimming pool of their LA home.

In Shatner's own words: "I came from the depths of despair. I came from a strong feeling that life was not really good enough to stay with it."

However, since then, Shatner has recovered by consulting psychic mediums with his new wife, Elizabeth.

Now, the 71-year-old says he's on a journey to find out where he will go after he dies.
