Seattle, WA (WFN) -- Model Susan Holmes has gone from posing in bikinis to designing them -- and now her skimpy styles are appearing in "Sports Illustrated's" swimsuit issue.

Holmes -- the wife of former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagen -- is known as the "Rock and Roll Bikini Designer" and thinks that's one reason her denim studded suits appealed to magazine editors.

She says she was "really, really," surprised that she made the final cut since "Sports Illustrated" gets thousands of designer bikinis to choose from.

"This is a bathing suit designer's dream come true," Holmes says.

But not all of her news is good these days. Holmes recently filed suit against "Playboy" magazine, claiming they published nude photos of her in a European magazine without her permission.
