Portland, OR -- An young woman in Portland, Oregon, wants to do for Sasquatch what Jane Goodall did for chimpanzees.

18-year-old Alicia Bateman's specialty is Bigfoot vocalizations and she has found amazing similarities between Bigfoot sounds and the siren-like screams produced by orangutans.

Alicia thinks Bigfoot's bigger size allows Sasquatch screams to resonate further and may give the creatures the ability to communicate with each other up to 10 miles away.

She says Bigfoot may be an American relative to the orangutan, but she hasn't been able to test her theories in the wild because she doesn't have a car.
