Portland, ME (WFN) -- A cryptozoologist in Portland, Maine, says he's discovered Bigfoot -- on a vegetable crate, that is. Loren Coleman admits his discovery isn't as exciting as a real Bigfoot body but insists his 1933 crate for "California Giant" lettuce is an important artifact. Here's why: He says there were numerous Sasquatch sightings in the U.S. between 1850 and the early 1900s, but there were none reported between 1910 and 1958, when the crate was created. Coleman believes the produce crate may provide some clues to that 48-year gap in Bigfoot research, because it suggests the hairy creatures were spotted then. He's now searching for Bigfoot on other crates, in hopes of documenting the missing 48 years of Sasquatch history. Coleman will discuss his paranormal produce box this Saturday (Sept. 15) at the Texas Bigfoot Conference in Jefferson, Texas.
