Physicians Group: American Meat Is Filthy

Washington (WFN) -- A physicians group has a beef with meat -- they want Americans to know their meat and poultry has feces all over it.

Later today, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine will present its petition to the USDA demanding biohazard labels be placed on all meat packages to let consumers know their filet mignon may be covered with animal feces.

The group says Americans already know meat and poultry contain pathogens for "E.Coli" and salmonella, but they claim as much as 84 percent of consumers don't realize it's because the meat contains feces.

A spokeswoman says if the USDA ignores the petition, the group will file a lawsuit -- and that's the straight poop.
