Brendon Sexton: 'Boys Don't Cry' Hurt My Career

New York, NY (WFN) -- "Boys Don't Cry" co-star Brendon Sexton is crying now because he claims the Oscar-winning movie killed his career.

Sexton -- who played a rapist in the flick -- tells gossip reporter Baird Jones that he thought he'd be on easy street after the gender-bending movie struck gold at the Oscars -- but the opposite has happened.

He admits after the film came out he didn't get any calls for auditions for two years and complains that "nobody was interested."

Sexton just finished a role in the film "Session 9," and he says he realizes that, "...maybe the Academy Awards don't really translate into job opportunities."
