Average American Showers For 8 Minutes

North Olmstead, OH -- Americans have a dirty little secret: They spend less time in the shower then they claim.

According to a shower study by the Moen Plumbing Supply company, the average American claims to spend 20 minutes in the shower but, in reality, it's eight minutes at most.

The study also suggests men are less likely than women to want "strong, forceful water flow" and that the ideal showerhead should distribute water around the shower in an "umbrella pattern."

The study must be accurate because the company actually asked people to shower in front of a video camera so their shower habits could be studied in detail.
