Average Bride Spends 8 Hours A Week Planning Wedding

New York, NY (WFN) -- Today's brides-to-be are spending plenty of time being harried about getting married.

According to a new survey by "Bride's" magazine, 48 percent of engaged women find wedding planning so overwhelming they'd like to take a leave of absence from school or work.

The survey also finds the average bride spends eight hours a week planning her wedding and 17 percent of engaged ladies would rather lose their wallet than their wedding planner.

Other matrimonial tidbits...

-- 37 percent of brides plan to have some "work" done on their bodies before the wedding.

-- 16 percent secretly wish their fiances would butt out of the planning.

-- And 2 percent say planning the wedding has made them question their engagement.
