Brazzaville, Congo Still Worst City In The World?

Washington, D.C. (WFN) -- It's double trouble for the African nation of Congo: It's home to two of the world's worst cities.

According to a global survey of 215 metropolitan area by the William H. Mercer company, Congo's two biggest cities -- Brazzaville and Pointe Noire -- rank at the bottom.

It's the second year in a row Brazzaville has received the dubious honor and researchers say the low ranking is due to a civil war that has gutted the downtown area leaving no cinemas and few restaurants.

A Congo spokeswoman wouldn't comment on the report, and insists Brazzaville is "nice -- but a little dirty."
