Los Angeles, CA -- Thought you heard every weird story about billionaire Howard Hughes? Now comes word he was a guinea pig thief.

That's the shocking claim of actress Yvonne Craig, the actress who played "Batgirl" on the "Batman" TV show.

The now 63-year-old Craig says Hughes hired her under an exclusive contract in 1958 and put her and her pet guinea pig in a luxury apartment for a few months.

She claims Hughes' employees later took the guinea pig away from her and wouldn't allow her any contact with the outside world.

Even stranger: Although Hughes made appointments to meet Craig every day, he never showed up.
