Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Here's the ugly truth about being a celebrity -- you have to deal with a lot of bad hair days.

According to Hollywood hairdresser Barbara Lorenz, many celebrities are plagued with dried and fried locks from the constant curling, spraying and teasing they endure on movie sets.

Lorenz says she once had to coat Cindy Crawford's hair with four layers of styling products just to keep it curly for a scene in one movie.

But overstyling and split ends aren't the only problems facing stars. The stylist says when she styled Lucy Liu hair for "Charlie's Angels," she found out the actress breaks out in hives if she uses most commercial shampoos.

Coincidentally, the only shampoo Lucy wasn't allergic to was Lorenz's own line, Lorenz/Germaine.
